| Your Ceremony Plan |
A sample Wedding Ceremony plan for you:
- entrance music or song (optional – this can be
musicians or CD etc)
- the welcome to your family and friends
- the introduction, spoken
by the celebrant and explains your views values, ideals, and
hopes for your married life together
- the giving away or presentation
of the bride and sometimes the groom (giving away is optional)
- a
reading, or readings (optional)
- words from the Marriage Act of
1961
- the marriage commitment, which traditionally consists of
the asking/question
GROOM, do you take BRIDE as your partner in this marriage? I do
BRIDE, do you take GROOM as your partner in this marriage? I do
- the vows
- the giving of a ring or exchange of rings
- declaration of the
marriage
- the signing of the register and certificates (you can
have music playing at this time)
- the presentation of the certificate
by the celebrant to the couple
- concluding words from the celebrant
and introduction (as Mr and Mrs or ‘the newlyweds’)
- recessional
music
